Vertical Summer Run - Free Fall
15.08.2020 | Corviglia
The Engadin Summer Run is a steep one - and takes you almost vertically upwards! On the day before the actual race, keen runners can push their boundaries while forcing their way up the free fall. In winter the elite skiers whizz down the free fall slope at some 140 km/h, but now the runners can conquer the free fall in the opposite direction from bottom to top at a gradient of 45%!
Date: Saturday, 15 August 2020
Start of the race: 12.45 pm, St. Moritz Dorf
Finish of the race: Free Fall, Corviglia/Piz Nair (finishes at 4 pm)
Victory ceremony: Top station Corviglia
Distance: 5.5 kilometres, 980 vertical metres, up to 45 degrees gradient
