High-alpine hiking on Diavolezza
Hiking and trekking in the ‘grand hall of the Alps’.
Among the hikes you can also undertake on your own is the route from the Berghaus Diavolezza up to Munt Pers. And while the terrain is a little steep in parts and requires a relatively sure footing, the hike itself is nonetheless suitable for older children too. The wonderful views across the Pers and Morteratsch Glaciers, Piz Palü, Piz Bellavista and Piz Bernina certainly reward the effort. The descent takes you from the Diavolezza mountain station to the Lej da Diavolezza, a demanding hike through a steep section down to the lake, the ideal stop-off point on the way to the valley station. And, with a little luck and patience, you might even spot the odd chamois or two along the way.
