due to the Coronavirus Early end of Season March 14!
The coronavirus does not stop at the mountains. According to an order issued by the Federal Council on Friday, 13 March, all Swiss mountain railways had to close down immediately until at least the end of April. Since our hotel is only accessible by funicular railway in winter, this means the early end of the season for us.
On the one hand, we regret having to terminate the season under the best conditions. On the other hand we understand and accept the decision. In this extraordinary situation, the health of our guests, employees and the local population has absolute priority.
We hope that the situation will have eased by the start of the summer season and that we will then be able to welcome you back to our mountain.
Anne-Pierre Ackermann and Team,
Romantik Hotel Muottas Muragl

A very warm welcome at 2,456 m above sea level Here we actively and consciously celebrate the art of sweet idleness
Up here St. Moritz lies at your feet. The Romantik Hotel Muottas Muragl is located between Samedan and Pontresina, at one of the most beautiful vantage points anywhere in the Engadin. The impressive landscape, incomparable light and breathtaking views of the Engadin lake plateau and the Bernina Massif once inspired artists, poets and philosophers such as Giovanni Segantini and Friedrich Nietzsche. The hotel itself is reached by a vintage funicular railway dating from 1907 and is situated right next to the mountain station.
The Romantik Hotel Muottas Muragl is all about indulgent pleasures, fine dining, and unwinding as you enjoy its superb views. Up here at 2,456 m above sea level we like to indulge in pleasures aimed at all the senses, not to mention actively and consciously celebrating the art of sweet idleness. So pause for a moment, take a deep breath, and feel yourself calming down and relaxing.
The Romantik Hotel Muottas Muragl was the first Plus Energy Hotel anywhere in the Alps, producing more energy on an annual average than the hotel itself requires. Indeed, we are more than mindful of the way we use our natural resources and more than happy to help you recharge your own batteries during your stay with us.
