Corviglia: Home of the World Ski Championships and the Olympics

In 1928, nearly a hundred years ago, the Winter Olympics kicked off in St. Moritz—the second Winter Olympics ever held at that time. A few years later, another extraordinary event took place: the first FIS Alpine World Ski Championships. In 1948, following World War II, the world’s best winter athletes gathered here on Corviglia for the Winter Olympics.
