An independent jury of experts has decided in the context of the Swiss Wine List Award 2023: The wine lists from the White Marmot restaurant on Corviglia and the panorama restaurant in the Romantik Hotel Muottas Muragl will receive the silver award in the "Upscale Gastronomy" category. Among other things, the breadth and depth of the wine selection, the care of the vintages and the topicality of the wine offer were judged. Above all, however, the expert jury examined whether the selection of wines also matched the cuisine of the respective restaurant. We are very pleased that our wine lists are among the best in Switzerland.

In 2011, Engadin St. Moritz Mountains was awarded the Swiss Solar Prize in the category Building Renovations by the Solar Agency Switzerland in Geneva. The prize, which has been awarded annually since 2000, honors personalities, institutions, new buildings and building renovations as well as energy plants with particularly high sustainable standards. The mountain experience provider also received the world's only award for PlusEnergyBuildings, the PlusEnergyBuilding Solar Prize 2011.
The Romantik Hotel Muottas Muragl, which is over one hundred years old, shows that high-level hotel comfort can also be realised at 2456 meters above sea level in the PlusEnergyBuilding sector. The Solar Agency particularly emphasized that thanks to the expansion and renovation, the total energy requirement was reduced by 64%, from 436000 kWh/a to 157400 kWh/a. The hotel's energy efficiency was also improved by the fact that the energy consumption of the building was reduced by 50%. Equally positive was the fact that the previous annual demand of approx. 40,000 liters of heating oil and the household and operating electricity of 36600 kWh/a are now 100% covered by solar energy, and that CO2 emissions have been reduced by 144 tons per year and thus also by 100%.
The trade magazine «hotelrevue» awarded the first plus-energy hotel in the Alpine region, Romantik Hotel Muottas Muragl, first prize in the «Environment» category of the «MILESTONE Tourism Award Switzerland» 2011. This first place was shared by Engadin St. Moritz Mountains with the «Model Region for Sustainability» project of Engadin Scuol Samnaun. The award, presented annually by «hotelrevue», honors particularly outstanding projects and personalities in the Swiss tourism landscape.
With the Watt d'Or, the Swiss Federal Office of Energy awarded the Romantik Hotel Muottas Muragl the prize in the «Buildings» category in 2012. Every year, the SFOE honors individuals and organizations whose exemplary projects and initiatives are leading the way to a sustainable energy future.
