Behind the scenes of the mountain railways

Holiday fun Engadin

All children aged 8 to 14 are warmly invited to discover the fascinating world behind the scenes of the mountain railways. Together, they will learn where the snow groomers hibernate in summer, how snow machines work and what keeps the gondola lifts running.

A holiday adventure for curious children and teenagers. At Ferienspass Engadin, all participating children gain exciting insights into the technology behind mountain railways and experience lots of action. Accompanied by one of our technical managers, they discover secret corners, can ask all their questions and try out new things. At the end, they get creative themselves by baking pizza on Marguns. Fun and enjoyment are guaranteed.

Procedure

The meeting point is at the valley station of the gondola lift in Celerina. All children will receive a little surprise at the start. Then it's off on the gondola lift up to Marguns.

During the tour, the children will get exciting insights behind the scenes. Together, they will visit the mountain railway control room, the railway drive system, the snow-making centre and, if there is still time, the pumping station of the Lej Alv natural reservoir.

Back in Marguns, pizza baking is on the agenda. Under the guidance of the pizza chef, they will create their own creative and delicious pizzas. Afterwards, there is usually time to play in the playground at Marguns.

Finally, everyone takes the gondola lift back to Celerina. There, the children are picked up by their parents or make their own way home.
