Unique sunrise at over 3000 m above sea level.

Piz Nair Sunrise

The sunrise in the Engadin is exceptionally beautiful. With the Piz Nair Sunrise event, it is possible to witness this amazing spectacle at over 3000 metres above sea level. Whether you are a mountain biker, a hiker, a romantic or a sports enthusiast – everyone is welcome to join the Piz Nair Sunrise.

Reach the summit of the Piz Nair at dawn by taking the mountain railways outside of the official operating hours. Enjoy a spectacular sunrise and a rich breakfast buffet in the Restaurant Piz Nair. Hit the bike and hiking trails after breakfast or continue to enjoy a relaxed morning on top of the mountain before returning to the valley by cable car. The first scheduled descent of the mountain railway is at 09.05 am. There will be no extra rides of the Piz Nair cable car in between.

  • Rich breakfast in the Restaurant Piz Nair 10000 feet
  • Extra ride from St. Moritz village to Piz Nair before sunrise

Advanced  booking for the breakfast buffet is required.

The event lasts until 09.00 am. If you would like to use our mountain railways after the event, bikers must have a valid mountain railway ticket for themselves and their mountain bike. This can be purchased in the online shop or during business hours at the ticket offices of the Engadin mountain railways.

If you would like to return to the valley by railway as a pedestrian, you can purchase the return ticket directly at the Piz Nair 10000 feet Restaurant for CHF 39.60 per person and ticket.

In the event of a last-minute cancellation, the extra mountain railway tickets purchased for this purpose will not be refunded.
Annual season tickets as well as multi-day tickets and Bergbahn inclusive & all inclusive are valid.

The meeting point is at the valley station of the funicular railway in St. Moritz village.

The dates for summer 2024 are yet to be announced.
