In 1928, almost one hundred years ago, the Winter Olympics took place in St. Moritz - the second ever Winter Olympics to be hosted in the world . A few years later, yet another superlative event took place, namely the first FIS Alpine Ski World Championships. In 1948, after the Second World War, the world's best winter athletes met here on Corviglia for the Winter Olympics.
